About Dusk At The Jersey Shore
Its about 7:00 p.m. on a late August evening; it had been clear and sunny all day so we went out in search of a sunset. Unexpectedly, the clouds started rolling in fast, and the sun was quickly falling to the horizon. That's when I saw this painted sky and knew I had to get a shot. But the sky alone wasn't enough, it needed something else. That's when I found the perfect compositional elements at the end of a now closed boat launch.
The original photo by Melissa Stubbs and the print image have a greater depth and intesity of color than the web image format portrays; the blues are more majestic and the cloud reflections have more yellows, pinks, and oranges.
